In the Birch wood....

where walking is possible. Remaining snow drifts are rock hard and impossible to walk on today, as kicking steps resulted in sore toes! Around the snow patches are ice, iced moss and iced grass. However the burn is running, as there are several springs here. The sky was blue and the sun shone all day. The Birches have turned that beautiful plum colour they assume pre- budding.
