Some fun facts about otters:
* The words ‘otter’ and ‘water’ have the same root
* They are basically our best friends: females are bitches, males are dogs, young are pups
* Despite that, until the 1960s some people in England still hunted otters, particularly prizing the penis bones, which were used as tie pins...
* Otters have the right idea: they live on a ‘couch’, in groups called ‘bevvies’, and eat 15% of their body weight every day!
