A week and a bit later than planned, I got round to trying out my adapted sponge recipe (adding some cornflour and baking powder to a Vic sandwich). I have to say, I am underwhelmed by the results. No discernable improvement to the rise, and no improvement to the taste. Think I'll stay old school for now!

A very grey and grumpy day yesterday (hence no pic); marginal improvement (to the prevailing mood, if not the weather) today, although I did have to collect Little G early from pre-school this afternoon, on grounds of excessive tiredness and lethargy, so we'll see how that develops.
