Praise be!

Look! It's back! The sky was just hiding after all! Here it is, in all its glorious blue...

Deep sigh of contentment.

I know (because Blip reminds me) that it has, in fact, only been about 8 days, not a million years, since we last saw blue skies, but boy does it feel longer than that. It's amazing what a difference a little burst of sun can make.

I've been almost ridiculously efficient today. (Well, efficient with everything bar the paperwork I'm supposed to be preparing for this evening's meeting - let's gloss over that.) One load of washing on the line, another in the machine. Dry washing finally removed from the kitchen to the airing cupboard after several days of being ignored. Two batches of crackers baked and in tins. One batch of sweet biscuits in the oven. Kitchen floor swept. Dishwasher running... It's amazing what you can do when the spring returns to your step (and when you don't have to go anywhere all day - I chose to give Little G a resting day at home today, even though he doesn't seem particularly ill, or tired after our lovely lie in this morning; I think it's done us all good).
