Barnsdale Road, Impassable

except by canoe. This is the main road into Castleford I mentioned yesterday, The river has burst it's banks, it will be like this for a day or two, and they say more rain to come.  It was mentioned on Calendar News this lunchtime, maybe tonight too. I didn't take this picture don't know who did so can't accredit it to anyone. Fairburn Ings is closed to the public too as the water is rising there, Not sure about St Aidens but some time back when the river was high  all the lakes just became one huge lake. I will have to go down and see tomorrow.

We got very wet and very cold on our morning walk so had a short one. It's a lovely afternoon though but very cold.
