Lockdown No3 - Day 18

Woke to a surprise hard frost, and a surprise visitor to the garden! It’s been a very long time since I’ve seen a Green Woodpecker around here. I’m not sure what he was after, but he was very intent on digging up the lawn. Then unbelievably this afternoon we had a visit from a Great Spotted Woodpecker! Unfortunately by the time I’d found my camera, it had disappeared.

Thank you for all your love for Spud the Sparrow. He wouldn’t have been able to have his bath this morning, the water was frozen solid! A big change in the weather and a beautiful, crisp morning; perfect weather for a walk. Sadly though I was stuck indoors waiting for a phone call, waiting in vain...
