Green leaves

A glorious day, which started with a frost. The sun soon warmed the air and we had blue skies and sunshine all day.

I walked to the allotment at lunchtime. The air felt such a tonic. A scattering of people were there busying away at their plots.

One of the other plot holders was digging up raspberry canes and gave me a bundle. I want to grow more fruit so I thought I might plant a few.

The spinach and chard are growing slowly now but I managed to gather enough leaves to accompany our chicken casserole dinner.
