Goit Stock Heron
A very cold and frosty morning. I went out into the garden to take a few frosty flower shots befire I had my breakfast. After Chris suggested a walk up Goit Stock, it was immediately obvious that the weather had softened a bit as the cars were less frosted but there were still a few patches of ice down the road.
The water in the Beck had gone down quite a bit and I was just voicing the thought that I should bring my other camera with a better telephoto lens to look out for Dippers when we spotted this Heron. A good telephoto was hardly needed and he was in no hurry to go anywhere. Blip sorted. (You can see the frosty alternatives in the extra)
Whilst taking these shots it started to snow, fairly light but it did continue most of the way home.
Snug and warm inside this afternoon.
More well defined in large!
