seaweed and rock

A busy day, pretty much back to normal now.

It was greyer and duller today, the light very subdued. I took myself and the dogs to the beach for an hour this evening.

The slow water shots are becoming compulsive, partly because its a fun and absorbing way to spend an hour on the beach, partly because its hard to predict the outcome, so there's an element of surprise. I like the effect of it, the way it makes things other than the water important in the shot. Here I was looking for a bit of colour in this very grey day and this single strand of seaweed provided it.
