Glasswear and Escargots

Early bird (me) woke up and had a lazy + long morning today. I made a full english breakfast for me, this time with eggs benedict (which I again did not succeed to make) but the bacon and toast was very tasty with strong coffee.

We had promised for my step-mom to visit her today, me and youngsters, to have a special meal and share my deceased father's glasswear to my children.

The special meal was baked snails, escargots, as my step-mom would like to share the pans to us. The only problem was that we did not know how to make escargots. So she promised to teach us. Escargots was a very tasty starter, kids and the old lady made it, and I made a salmon soup for the main course, and ice-cream portion for the dessert.

Maybe all the delicates was a mistake, as after all the learning, making food and three course meal we were quite well done and relaxed....... My kids then started to make an inventory of the glasswear, as planned, and I guess we all were surprised to realize about the quite a huge amount of my father's glasswear storage. In the end kids did not make any full share yet. They did take only a small amount of glasswear with them, and now they have to search for some proper storage boxes for the rest (for safe carrying and transporting) and they also have to think a little how to share. A new appointment with my step-mom is needed in this. ..

I got two pairs of silvery candle holders from my dad's storage and some big porcellain plate and a silver tray.

I do not know yet, how to use them.

A mild weather +2c, snow is thawing and changing into wet and dirty slush.
