Fire, snow, ice
Today a visit to the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens, near Romsey.
where stems of Cornus sanguinea, "Anny's Winter Orange", Galanthus nivalis amongst the Acanthus leaves, and frosted Hamamelis flowers provide the elements of fire, snow and ice. There's also a Hellebore as an extra, extra.
Lots of winter birds too, including Redwings, Fieldfares and Siskins. Also, heard and saw two Nuthatches, Song and Mistle Thrushes, Blue,Great and Coal Tits and many Robins.
