Birthday

It was my birthday. Quite a big one. I was well primed before to not expect too much but had a lovely day. Me and Francis got up early to watch the sunrise. It was too cloudy but we did get a good walk and a very beautiful tune from a lone Blackbird at the top of the tree. There was a surprise doorstep visit from the local lovelies who bought lots of laughter and general all round loveliness and later on cake from Fiona, flowers from Sophie and a bottle of fizz from Helen followed by a game of Monopoly with the boys. 
We had planned to go to the Brecon Beacons with all the siblings for a walk up Pen-y-fan but that had to be cancelled (and re-booked). It could have been a lot worse and I was so grateful for the love of good friends.
