Cold and Beautiful

We awoke to a fair covering of the white stuff this morning so decided to repeat yesterday's walk but climbing up to the common via the bridlepath (extra) instead of keeping to the lanes.
We were the first to walk up the lane and it was fascinating to see the animal tracks in the powdery snow. Clear evidence of foxes, pheasants and deer.

The sun was already rising above the level of the high hedges so the snow was melting.

The route across the common however, was still in shade so the trees were still cloaked and looking beautiful.

Jorgie had a wonderful time, as did we.
