Not used in a long time

This BMW motorbike, hidden in the front garden of a house a few blocks from mine, has been unused for so long that the plants have started to grow over it. Is this pandemic-related, or something else? And why keep the vehicle if it’s not being used? Yet another neighborhood mystery...
