Calming Down.
So, today didn't go quite to plan.
Alexandra had her car booked in for a service, and then we were going to take the girls to the shops and have lunch out.
We arrived at the garage at 7.40 am. They then proceeded to tell us that they needed the car until 4pm!
Why they hadn't told us this when the car was booked in, I've no idea.
When we said we had 2 small children with us, and if they had told us, we would've made alternative arrangements.
The manager said, 'Oh, well.'
In the end Alexandra said she wanted the car back by 2.30. We were also shocked by the cost of the service, as they hadn't told us that either.
Anyway, off we went to get the children some breakfast. And we started to wander around the shops.
During this time we get 3 more phone calls, asking if we wanted more things done. One was refused, but one she had to agree to. More money.
By this time she was getting upset, so she rang her Dad, and he got onto the garage. The manager was also rude to him!
We had some lunch, but the day had been ruined, and we didn't enjoy it.
In the end we wandered back to the garage, and sat in their waiting room.
Peter came and picked the girls up, after finishing work. And we waited another half an hour for the car.
Lesson learned always ask how long and how much a car service is going to be.
But we will never buy that car brand again, or from that franchise either.
