The Fountain pub...
...sadly a shadow of its former self, and gently going to ruin...
We don't do graffiti in Ingbirchworth - just passive/aggressive notices telling people not to come to the village to enjoy the reservoir walk....
Without permission, someone from the village moved the fences and put up the big notice suggesting that people park in the pub car park rather than clogging the road. The village FB group was then all a-twitter, worrying that even more people would come if they thought they could park easily... Oh dear... fences put back, and notices everywhere ...
I must admit some of the awful parking irritates me, but one of the penalties of living where we do is that people will want to come to walk their dogs and children locally, and as they aren't allowed to go anywhere else there are more than usual... Some of the village residents should try nipping over to Cawthorne - they put up with this all of the time!
Anyway - my response to Picturemull's MonoMonday prompt this week, a double whammy for the derelict challenge, and a mini rant at a lack of kindness and empathy ( as I perceive it! ) ;)
PS we've got haggis, tatties and neeps for this evening - I confess I'm probably looking forward to the tot of whisky slightly more ;)
CORONA CLASSICS – from Dolly this evening, the very appropriate Ice Symphony - Edvin Marton and from me Beethoven - Silencio
