Time out

An ok night, we were up and down, keeping the fluids up has its consequences lol!
My throat is on the mend thankfully..... feels better today.

We had a bit of a lie in.... until, just after 9, breakfast in bed, once I 'd got up and made it. Shower & hair washing, conditioning, detangling & blow drying marathon for me. Hub was downstairs way before me today!

Nurse came and gave hub his jab, then we went out for a short walk, a little further than last time, probably 500 steps in addition to his others around the house....probably get to a 1000 today :-). Once back home, I grabbed my camera and went out for a longer walk. It was a beautiful bright day, but a very cold wind. As I walked along our top road the views towards Winter Hill were crystal clear, with a smattering of snow on the tops, as can be seen in extras. This tree is literally along the road from our house. Having never found my "special" tree I thought it looked quite attractive without its leaves. My walk was a bit of a route march as I was conscious of time. Managed almost 8000 steps in around 45mins, that included stopping for photos! I checked my phone to Whatsapp hub but could see he was chatting to daughter ;-)

I got back just as hub was finishing watching yet another episode of Battlestar Gallactica! We decided on soup & a sandwich for lunch.
Hub had already had cake with his mid morning coffee and a packet of crisps ;-)

Did some more jigsaw this afternoon, its almost finished, a blip to come for sure ;-)

Hub fancies a chinese style curry for tea, will use up the rest of the roast chicken, with onions and garden peas and boiled rice. Ive defrosted some morello cherries to make a crumble for dessert, with some custard :-)

Hubs still feeling ok post chemo.... ..taste buds a bit iffy but not disappeared entirely this time.
He's tired and still needs to put some weight on, but holding his weight during chemo is a good sign, last platelets jab tomorrow then 5 days of antibiotics, before a bit of a breather. No news on "the" vaccine as yet.

Tv tonight will include a box of tissues whilst watching Long Lost Families lol.

Hope youve all had a good first day of your working week.......take care out there.
