For Paul

Today was Paul's funeral, sadly I couldnt be there for his final journey. Instead, I climbed up to the top of Carnethy Hill to watch the sun rise and remember our friendship and pay my respects. It was blisteringly cold, too windy to standy up and often completely blotted out by the snow being blown off the hills, but worth every minute of the solitude at one with nature with noone else around for a while.

Sadly, on getting home I heard the awful news that a neighbour (and good friend) had suddenly passed away in the night. Such a sad day.

I've been awake since 4.30am and up since 5 so pretty popped and emotionally wrung, think i'll sleep a lot better tonight.
