Ben Lomond

Another wonderful day. We headed back down Loch Fyne , over the Rest and Be thankful and down Loch Lomond to Balloch. Our intention was to go down early so we could spend some time around the loch shores in the afternoon sunshine before picking up our grandsons.

We were down for yet another of the Son's cancelled games. Would you believe the referee had a final pitch inspection and canceled the game an hour before it was due to start?So no game, dinner at our daughter's house then back up the three lochs to our hown home, getting back very late.

Just as well we had made the most of our so called football trip during the afternoon sun. We had headed off at balloch roundabout and up to the Stoneymullen hill overlooking Loch lomond. A long , leisurely walk uphill with wonderful views opening up before us. off course the best views of the loch were away over the heather and the boggy moorland. Lovely light over Ben lomond but a bit dull over the loch. never mind I still managed a few blips so tonight's upload is a view of the ben from above the treeline.
