Advocate’s Close
Advocate’s Close looked down over a Princes Street lost in a sea of mist and gloom. It was the kind of day when it would have felt easier to close the draw bridge and stay warm indoors, but that would have been too easy and so it was out for a damp, exercising walk round the marches.
5miles of a plod later meant I really felt I deserved my coffee and crossword back in the relative warmth of the Dower House.
I could go out again into the dampness of the afternoon, but as I have a Zoom meeting at 3pm, I seem to have a valid excuse for staying put.
