Holme Island, Grange Over Sands

A walk around the block this morning as it was dry.  At the end I walked out to the edge of Morecambe Bay and liked Holme Island in the distance.  It was nearly high tide and so still.

Set about making Beef Bourguignon this afternoon for the freezer and an apple crumble tart for later. (new recipe).  Wonderful aromas wafting around.

Watched an excellent programme about Helvellyn on BBC 4 last night.  It's worth a look if you are missing your fix of the Lakes.
