Dean Bridge
A short Covid-19 Exercise Walk today took me through the Bank Gardens to a parapet overlooking Dean Bridge which spans the Water of Leith in Edinburgh.
It carries the roadway 447 feet long and 39 feet broad, on four arches rising 106 feet above the river and completed in 1831 the bridge was one of the last major works before retirement of the bridge designer & civil engineer Thomas Telford.
