Just had a bit of a shock

A sheep dog puppy only recently bought by the owner of the farm where we are staying unfortunately got run over by another family member. He had been running around the courtyard in a very boystrous manner. And had yet to be trained how to be with vehicles. This happened right outside our cottage.
This follows on from another unfortunate incident a month ago. We were climbing up the hill beside the cottage for our daily walk when we saw an obviously terrified sheep rushing down the side of the hill in front of us with a dog fiercely biting its back leg.
What happened after that was pretty harrowing to watch, and the sheep was brought down and eventually killed.
So nothing to be frivolous about today. Very shocked and very sad.
