Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Another lie in - this is becoming a habit. I like listening to Radio 4 in the mornings. Anyway, no rush - not doing anything/going anywhere/meeting anyone... I detect Lockdown Fatigue setting in.

JR, however, has been enthusiastically doing her Edinburgh Leisure online fitness lessons, although I have noticed she hasn’t been doing the early ones (ie before 10am). She has also been been trying lots of new recipes from the book I cunningly gave her at Christmas - ’Roasting Tin Recipes from Around the World’ (Thanks, Nicky). And I see there’s some ‘no-knead bread’ dough sitting (wrapped up in a bowl) on the warm floor of the bathroom overnight. All good.

In the afternoon, we all went out for a walk around a few blocks. It was a dreich day, which we take badly to after the lovely weather we’ve been used to of late. However, the icy pavements have disappeared at last.

And look who we bumped into - Trixie and her mum! They’d been out walking for miles, of course. Ann was happy because she’d been for lunch at her friend’s house, who is her support bubble.
