Drizzly Thursday
Home schooling support went very well this morning. (Some visual aids to learning in my extra photo.*) Good progress, too, on the work front today - all online, like everything else these days.
An afternoon walk was notable for the following: icy wind chill, overwhelming quantities of roadside litter visible at the nadir of the winter vegetation die back and the number of people staring into computer screens as they continue to WFH.
T carried a bag and litter picker and left the streets cleaner than we had found them. Discarded masks were the most frequently collected item.
As we walked on the shore line we noticed the air warmer than further up the beach. Maybe there is some truth in what the sea swimmers say about the sea being warmer than the air at this time of year!
BBC Winterwatch has been a very enjoyable interlude in our screen time this January. The penultimate instalment is our tv highlight this midwinter evening.
* Extra photos are not uploading this evening - sorry.
