River Bellart

It was a beautiful day which more than made up for the greyness of the previous day. I walked round to the village, soaking up the vitamin D and enjoying the views which are always enhanced by a bit of sunshine. These reed beds have expanded over the years as I have photographs going back to the 1970s showing a much wider area of open river at this spot. In fact, a local raft race would be held every year on this lower stretch of the river. I don't think this would be possible now.
