:: Wiigwaasabak ::

Wiigwaasabak, for those who don't speak the indigenous language Ojibwe, translates to birch bark scrolls.

The Ojibwa are an Indigenous people of Canada and the United States and have been using birch bark for over 400 years to record their history and stories.  Bone, metal or wood are used on the soft inner wood and the scrolls are passed along from generation to generation.  They also used the birch bark for canoes.
