Holly Cottage

Another of the old cottages in the village. At least there was some sunshine today. Went out for a late afternoon walk as I was at home group for the earlier part of the afternoon, but the light was still quite nice at about 4.30 pm. Shows how the days are beginning to get noticeably longer.

This cottage is on the other side of the road from the Anglican church and, according to the plaque on it, dates from 1759. It always looks older than that to me, so I'm wondering whether that was just the date that alterations to it were done. Will have to check with hubby when he gets back from a conference tomorrow if he knows more about it - he has a better memory for the history of the village than I do!
