View from the stream

The light was worse than yesterday for photography, and there was mist in the distance. Had a pleasant walk by a stream and took photos in various directions. I was torn between this and a photo of fir cones. Decided on this view, which is maybe a bit more interesting -thought maybe in monochrome as the colours weren't very varied. Very quiet along the stream this afternoon - only my son and I were around. At least it's now dry enough to walk along the footpath, but some fields are very churned up by the horses' hooves and still have puddles lying in them.
