Winter aconites

Member of the Buttercup family. Eranthis hyemalis. Poisonous.
When we set out to look at a good sized patch of these (see the extra) in Silverdale, the sun was shining. By the time we arrived it was behind the clouds so the flowers had not opened. We have some in the garden but they face north and need another couple of weeks to flower.
