Take a Rest

 One of my favourite local walks goes up Brant Fell, past Post Knott and  then down this old  Victorian carriage way.  Its an old route from the Hydro Hotel to Post Knott, once used by those taking the waters at the "hydropathic hotel".   The seriously ill could go up in a horse drawn carriage  and those on foot would find lots of stone benches, like this one, for resting along the way.
