Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

A cold dreich day. I was only out round the block with Archie in the morning. I flatly refused JR’s invitation in the afternoon.

I did another 50 minute Spiral episode on the bike, though didn’t quite get round to trying the ‘Joe Weeks for Seniors’ exercises that JR keeps harping on about.

I spent the afternoon listening to my ‘whodunnit’ audiobook. Unfortunately, I dozed off a few times, and have now completely lost the plot and have given up on it.

I read an article about AMSR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response), Googled it, and went down a rabbit hole of strange things - people (mainly women) whispering about stuff, or tapping/shuffling/rustling/small items (one video was three hours long, no ads) demonstrating how to fold towels or even - weird - someone munching on Russian food (though they’re not on camera, just the sounds.) I don’t need things to help me go to sleep - I need things to keep me awake!

The only good thing about today was that at least it’s not still January.
