Lunar Landscape

Well . . . what a day. Had looked at the forecast on Friday and seen Sunday was going to be clear and cold. managed to make a last minute plan with a colleague to head to the Harz mountains and climb the Brocken mountain. 

The weather was simply stunning, and the whole day was spent trekking in amazing winter conditions. At the summit , the drifts of snow were such that each tree was fully encased in snow, as if it had been dipped in icing. 

We spent the entire day simply in awe of our surroundings.
