On it’s own.
Friday - We were relieved to find that the heavy snow forecast had not arrived here. We had an appointment at Specsavers to pick up our glasses. Not too icy on the journey over although there was snow on the higher parts of our journey.
Popped to David’s to drop off a food parcel and then walked up the High Street. We were abit early so head a Hot Chocolate and Mike had a bacon Roll from Deas bakery.
Picked up our glasses , not easy to keep your two metre distance when there was another person in the shop choosing glasses for their little girl right by the door and lots of staff too. We were only there about 5 minutes, glasses adjusted and so far I’m pleased with them.My old ones were very scratched and worn out.
Filled the car up with petrol and Mike went to Tesco and then popped into a friends to pick up a knitting machine she no longer needed. It was so nice to have a chat face to face with someone :) My new glasses still steam up when wearing a mask !
A lovely drive home with view of the snow covered mountains.
Mike had a phone call with a friend from America and then we sat down to our Afternoon Tea. It was delicious and plenty for two with some left for tomorrow. We will definitely do it again and hope they continue after lockdown :)
