Harmony
Rushing tonight to meet my friend Vicki for dinner and only managed a few shots of the Mitchell Library (they turned out really bad) and this shot of an Angel (turned out bad)! I really need to take more time to blip, I'm snapping away instead of taking time out.
Never mind! Got home having had a great catch up over dinner with Vicki and thought I should find out who created the Angel in my picture. Turns out that it was James Alexander Ewing (sculptor) who was born in Carlisle in 1843 before moving to Glasgow in 1875. He created this Angel "Harmony", which sits above 520 Sauchiehall Street which used to be his brother's piano warehouse.
So my picture isn't great (again) but at least Blip taught me something tonight. Also made me realise there is an Angel in Sauchiehall Street as I had never noticed it before :)
