Day 331

We had a phone call this morning from the garage to say our MOT and service is due next month and as the appointments are going fast would we like to book an appointment. Of course we said yes and they ate picking the car up for an extra £10. We think that is pretty good as we normally take it in and have a coffee in next and spend loads in M & S.
Whilst making linch my soup maker died so we ordered another one from Argos and went to pick it up taking our cameras with us.. We knew the thames had flooded and it was bad. we then went to Penton hook lock and it was worse down there. the water was ;most at the top of the lock and the field behind the lock was flooded.normally a ditch runs through it but today it was a lake. See extra. the statue is the guardian of the river and he looks suitably unimpressed by the level of the water.
The main picture is  swan upping. we often sit on the steps below and have lunch or just sit and stare. Not today though. The river was running very fast
Had our first jab last nigh, the fixer one. very well organised
