Adelaide and the King.
L3 Day 47 - Lots of rain today so walked down Teddington High Street and the Station area looking at some of the old buildings there. The blip is of the Adelaide pub in Park Road. This was named after William IVs widow Adelaide(1792-1849) who lived for many years at Bushy House nearby. Another old pub is the Kings Head (See extra)in the High Street. A pub has been on the site of since the 17C although the present building ( now part of the Raymond Blanc’s brasserie group) dates from 19C.
