The Phoenix Rises

A wee bit wet

After the rain  lashed our east facing bedroom window all night, by 0500hrs I was wound up. The flood of last February  at Heather and Will's was uppermost in my head and sleep would not come . By 0600 Heather was messaging me that all was well, but Star was scratching at the door to get out. I was up and she was out.
Luckily our weekly walk and takeaway cuppa was on, so were four layers and waterproof  outers again. Poor Star and Molly  just had fur coats, but I don't  think they minded. The northern golf course gave them a safe free run and a paddle on the fairway. Not much golf to be had anytime soon on this course I fear.
News of a friends GD pup Bess. She's  being described  as eccentric  and barky. Her puppy walker, Connie says she's  already looking at pretty collars for when she gets her back. Not so fast there young Connie. She'll  surprise you yet! ( I hope).
Charlie has been short listed to travel to NI, but he was a sponsored  pup, named by a school. So I hope that doesn't  happen as it used to be against the ethos for them  to go out of the country if they were sponsored.  With Brexit it was all supposedly  stopped, but time again will tell. I don't  think we will see Oor  Bonnie Prince again as he's  too good to be withdrawn  and our visit to see him on guided walk with a trainer can't happen unless.we are on teir 2. I'm  really sad about that. Yet again, Covid keeps on giving.

Mystery dinner tonight as I have no idea what to do.

As aye
