Pond Life

We held a Pond Party in August 1997, invited (mostly) willing friends  (drinks and food provided) to help dig the pond. On the second day  we laid the underlay and liner, and finally filled it up. It is a wildlife pond, the emphasis being on the word WILD. It attracts everything. Birds, frogs, toads, newts, damsel and dragonflies, foxes, and... I raked a lot of leaves out today including laurel fallen from the cut yesterday. It will be good to pay it some attention this month. The Extra is Tattie, a rough looking Kite that passed over today.
