Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Beatles - The Inner Light (recorded January-February 1968, Bombay and London)
George Harrison would have been 70 on this day. His composition The Inner Light was on the B-side of Lady Madonna. Its lyrics are a rendering of the 47th chapter of the Taoist Tao Te Ching. George Harrison only sings on this track, supported by Aashish Khan (sarod), Mahapurush Misra (pakhavaj), Hanuman Jadev (shehnai), Hariprasad Chaurasia (bansuri), and Rijram Desad (harmonium). John Lennon and Paul McCartney provide background vocals at the end of the song.
This is the stereo version first released on Past Masters: Volume Two. The original mono mix differs as it has an extra horn riff during the intro and double-tracked lead vocals.
