Cake! For Meeeeee

We got up and headed out to Cassiobury park this morning where Phoebe ran around like a nutter.  She got caked in mud but then as some of the paths were flooded running through the water soon cleaned her up a bit.

Tomorrow is my birthday so there were lots of delightful deliveries but one of them took me massively by surprise.  I think I have moaned a lot - too much - about some people at work I don't get on with but what I don't talk about is the lovely people I work with.

Amy, Rich and Dan had me an afternoon tea sent to my house with beautiful cakes - this one and the cupcake in the extra.

It has bread, scones, cream, jam, cheese and tomatoes.  Amazing.  

We are about to tuck into it now for dinner with some Champagne Steve picked up at Sainsbo.

Amy is the one I go to for that honest opinion.  She tells me what she thinks and I honestly don't know what I'd do without her at work - think I'd go insane.  Dan is new to me since he joined our company after me and Rich I've known for years.  Both Amy and Rich used to work at Accenture with me - we're all new joiners to our company within about a 6 month period.  I am so touched by the gift they sent and very surprised.

I'm enjoying a weekend of celebratory fun - screw lockdown - it can't ruin everything :)
