Lanes of the Vale of Kent

We’ll start by congratulating the Scottish rugby team for their epic win over England this evening at Twickenham. The last time Scotland won at Twickenham was in 1983. Well deserved, they caused England to perform like bumbling, incompetent and ill disciplined amateurs.

We would not tolerate that number of penalties at the level of rugby that I referee and watch.

In other news, it looks as if we could be in for a dump of snow overnight. We’re on standby to see to Doreen should her carers not be able to get to her tomorrow morning.

A pleasant enough walk in the middle of the day mainly from Sutton Valance on the lanes of the Greensand Way and the Vale of Kent. The ground is saturated making it a challenge to find anywhere to sit for lunch. We found a convenient concrete block at a disused entrance to a field  that served as a table and seat. At least it remained dry until the last half mile or so.

Today’s blip is of one of this lanes winding away into the distance flanked by a fine selection of skeletal trees.
