Full Lockdown Day 33: The Bristol Variant
I am very pleased to announce that Bristol has a new Covid Variant, although 'It’s not a new variant, in and of itself. It’s a mutation which attaches itself to different variants" (Bristol's Public Health Director who has also said that Covid is 'a gift'). Bristol is now leading the way with Covid mutations, something that we as Bristolians can be extremely proud, so let's hope that we can export the virus to the rest of the world so others can benefit. It is also important to know that this new variant, which isn't a new variant, will cause additional symptoms which are not unlike the symptoms you get after working a full day in a primary school: exhaustion, headaches and aching limbs and back. You may also experience frustration and even anger.
Not all areas of Bristol have experienced this virus, so to make sure all have the opportunity to become ill the council is advising that you leave your infected area and travel across the city to get tested. This should apply even if you have no symptoms and even if you are regularly tested using the mass flow test (cause let's face it, it's a bit crap).
I am fortunate to live in one of the areas (BS8 3..). Happy Days! :-)
