A Fresh Perspective
On This Day In History
1587: Mary Queen Of Scots beheaded
Quote Of The Day
"What's great about this country is that America started the tradition where the richest consumers buy essentially the same things as the poorest. You can be watching T.V. and see Coca-Cola, and you know the president drinks Coke. Liz Taylor drinks Coke, you can drink Coke too."
(Andy Warhol)
There are very few books which I have read more than once; The Man In The High Castle and A Scanner Darkly by Philip K. Dick, the first Dune trilogy by Frank Herbert, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl, Cosmos by Carl Sagan, The Hitch-Hiker's Guide To The Galaxy by Douglas Adams .......... and this, The Once And Future King, by T.H. White. Actually, this will be the fourth time I have read it. It's just one of those books that seems to be about ..... well, everything that is most important in life.
This photo serves a dual purpose. As we approach Book Week at school, staff and pupils have been asked to share photos of themselves reading in unusual ways. The first five staff to share have been promised a small prize. I was the first! I wonder what my reward will be? Watch this space to find out.
