Little Egret - 20

I ventured out in the car today to visit my mum and take her for a short socially distanced walk around the block. On the way home I stopped off at Ince which is at the west end of Frodsham Marshes. I follow a bird blog covering the marshes so I knew there would be a good chance of seeing an egret. I spotted 3 little egrets although there are supposed to be great egrets there as well.

As you can see from the extra they are attracted by the pigs digging up the ground and they followed very closely in their tracks.

Lands End to John O'Groats 1000 Mile Virtual Challenge Update

Day 1 -  Cornwall. 4.6 miles walked. 4.6 miles completed. 
Kwdiane and I both started the 1000 mile challenge today and aim to finish it in 12 months. Kwdiane did this last year and finished it comfortably so I'm hoping we can actually complete it by the end of 2021. What appeals to me this time is that it is tied in with a virtual 1000 mile walk from Lands End To John O'Groats and you can plot your progress on a map and follow the route on street view. After my first day I have reached a lay-by on the B3315 just outside Sparnon. I will keep an update on here.
