It's that time of year
Have to ask Nogbad every year what this is that last week killed and got a good feed off one of our chickens. I think I know the answer after about 10 years.
Actually went out to try and catch a kite that Angie had just spotted flying very low over her as she sat sunbathing in the garden. By the time I got out it had moved on as it did a reconnoitrer of possible nest sites. We welcome the kite's arrival as they tend to keep the buzzards away. The best way of knowing the kites are around is the noise made by the dozen or more crows who live off our garden and steal chicken food. They protect their territory and go after the kites.
