Beaver
The rising water level in our cellar got Angie so angry she phone the County Council are ripped forth! Within a couple of hours, the Beaver Protection Officer (a voluntary position but with official legal status) had called & made an appointment for 9am tomorrow. I informed the Parish Council chief clerk via email at 7pm so that he was in the link.
So have to wait & see tomorrow's outcome. I then went for the evening dog walk with Luna, heading over the fields opposite our property so that I could photograph the flooding. To my amazement saw tractor tracks over the field heading for the beaver dams & then that the water level in the stream had fallen good 50 cm since the morning, and the fields were no longer underwater. Instead, at the site of the two dams found all the twigs & branches had been pulled out - tractor tracks alongside. Everything was back to "normal". It was obvious who had done it, the farmer had been working on the stream that morning but further away. While we were indoors, he must have moved in.
