Tired obs anaesthetist!

Today has been tiring. Amy had to do early COVID vaccines which meant I had to do the school run and then rush to work. Got there a bit late but wasn't too bad. Then we had a major accreta to do first thing. Then spent the rest of the morning trying to sort out plans for our extremely poorly lady on ITU. The whole afternoon was taken up down in interventional suite with the radiologists jointly tackling one of our hardest lines customers. 4 hours later we had a hickman line in after a lot of wires and angioplasty and winkling down capillaries! Then it was back to obs to do another case, review ITU lady, bang a few epi's in and do the late shift as no registrar was available. Finally got home at 9, and then dinner and eventually sat down for a bit of "designated survivor".
