Mosaic
Ancient Rome was a world where the houses of those wealthy enough were decorated with mosaics. Given time and patience these small squares would be transferred into a picture.
If the design that came with the tesserae were followed correctly they would be transformed into a picture of two doves drinking from a bowl. The original on which the kit it is based was found in Hadrian's Villa.
The finished kit, should I ever get around to it would be as shown in the extra. I altered the colours of the tesserae in processing which is why they do not match the colours in the picture.
The temperature when I got up this morning was -13º. That is cold, I wonder when we had a temperature as low as that in Aberdeen. There was sunshine most of the day, but the temperature never got above freezing.
