Sally Mair - Loving life

Goody box

A nice surprise this morning when the doorbell rang and there was a box from Pentland Aromatics. Blipper Nadinepierce launched her new online business this week, so I treated myself to some lovely scented candles and a diffuser. I got some lovehearts too, presumably for Valentine's Day and a hand written card too. Lovely. It's nice when you have known about something almost from its very inception and now, here it is, up and running. The house smells lovely and that soap has gone into a drawer to spread its lovely scent until it is needed.
Other than that we prepared a surprise for a friend which was fun. After lunch, I talked an absolute novice into a practice Zoom meeting so now she can join our coffee group on Sunday. I had a useful phonecall (perhaps) to Scottish Power to try yet again to extract the £500 they owe our church. It's getting very wearing. We wrote to the CEO this week but no response as yet.
Next week I have to tackle Virgin but I need all my strength for that one.
I'm having an early night tonight, I signed up for an 8-10am Morrisons delivery window tomorrow by accident. I don't do 8am but I'd better be up and dressed I suppose.
It was interesting to see the comparison between the home nations in the news today and to see that Scotland really is doing well. The incidence rate here is at 1 in 150 people the UK as a whole is not given but the other nations vary from 1 in 75 to 1 in 85. It's just so good to see the figures going in the right direction at last.

Keep safe and well everybody. Over 1.1 million adults vaccinated, with their first dose, in Scotland already, that's wonderful.
